Not a day goes by as uncertainly un-retired Scott Neidermayer checks the NHL standings. Scott's eyes always veer towards the latest Win/Loss record of the Anahiem Ducks. Mathematically Neidermayer attempts to pinpoint the exact time that it would be benificial for him and fellow uncertainly un-retired former teammate Teemu Sellanne to return to the Ducks roster.
On his ledger Neidermayer does some quick math to determine that he has 2 and a half more months of un-retirement, before he needs to come back and propel the Ducks to another Stanley Cup victory. Some days are extremely anxious as the Ducks might have lost a game the night before or may be on a loosing streak. Neidermayer fears for any of his fellow defensemen getting injured. "I don't want to come back to early and blow my bubble" explains trusted family friend.
At the end of all this if, the Ducks make the playoffs and Neidermayer returns we'll know for certain that he is pretty good at math. Maybe he can teach grade 5 math at the local school in Cranbook, BC. Who knows if his soft hands are cut out for the burly work of lumberjack-manship, as his beard seems to place him.
