Dropping the soap has been all to common thus far this NHL season. And players are starting to complain. It is common practice in sports to shower after having played or practiced. For obvious reasons, you kind of stink after playing hard, especially in hockey gear. So why is it that some NHL'ers are letting their hygiene go?
It seems the NHL has forgotten about one of the most important things amongst all the changing the leagues gone through in the last couple years. Sure the new RBK Edge jersey's look good for the most part, and they are more comfortable and make the players faster. All the rule changes have made for a better product on the ice, with exception to a few rules. And now the schedule is going back to the way it used to be. But the NHL still needs to address one thing! THE SOAP! It is far too slippery, and the players can't hold on it! Leaving way to unpleasantness from some of their more "happy" players.
Players have started complaining about the soap issue. They call it "getting hockey'd".
